Health Savings Account

How the HSA Works

Eligibility

You must be enrolled in the High Deductible Health Plan (Silver).

Contributions

DaBella contributes: $19.23 per pay period ($500 per year)

You contribute on a pretax basis and can change how much you contribute from each paycheck up to the annual IRS maximum of $4,400 if you enroll only yourself or $8,750 if you enroll in family coverage. You can make an additional $1,000 catch-up contribution if you are age 55 or older. You may make changes to your HSA contributions at any time.

How to Access Funds

The HSA is a bank account, so you’ll need to activate your account in Optum to receive the DaBella funds and to contribute additional money to the account.

Once the account is activated, you will receive a debit card in the mail to pay for medical services.

You can also submit for reimbursement through your Optum account log in if you don’t use the debit card to pay for services.
